Leslie Barrett, owner and creator of CHIME, cut into her first drum cymbal in the fall of 2006. She now receives cymbals from drummers across the country, including some very-famous players we're not allowed to name. With these cracked and beat-up cymbals, Leslie designs and handcrafts one-of-a-kind earrings, necklaces and bracelets. Her jewelry "chimes" both literally and metaphorically.

In fact, the jewelry you choose may have been on many of the world's most famous stages.

Motivated by her love of music and desire to create new from old, Leslie’s innovative but simple designs are inspired by the music and energy that resonates from the cymbals she cuts. In her Los Angeles workshop, music is always playing, linking the old with the new and allowing the beats to play on through another art form.
