Unpublished Rock & Jazz Photos. As Few As 100 Available!

Jeff Hochberg is a collector.

He’s been obsessed with “all things rock and roll” since he was 14 years old.

He started taking his camera to sports events and concerts when he was 9 years old. At 14, he wrote a letter to Noel Redding of the Jimi Hendrix Experience.

We’ll let Jeff tell the story from here…

“Noel was kind enough to respond with a two-page, hand-written letter. He told me that the world's largest Hendrix collector lived in my hometown.  Noel gives me Bob Terry's address, I write him a note and he writes back asking if I have anything to sell/trade.  All I had was a set of 33's from a Westwood One radio show on Hendrix that had aired the year before (my dad got them from a friend who worked at Westwood One).  I trade those for a few Hendrix posters, vinyl bootlegs and a Japanese pressing of Axis.  Just after college, I meet Jay Kastor of Psychedelic Solution fame.  Jay is a huge Hendrix fan and had more inventory than anyone on earth.  I proceeded to trade him my Bob Terry haul for some Grateful Dead posters, and thus began my obsession with collecting rock 'n roll ephemera.”

For the last 15 years, Jeff has been tracking down photos that show familiar artists in a new light. Photos that haven’t been published before. Photos that are unique and collectible.

It took a lot of detective work. Finding the negatives was just the first step. Jeff then had to track down the rightful owners, make the deals, organize the materials and curate a collection.

We think you’ll agree it was worth the effort.  The images you’ll see here, all by US-based photographer Tom Morton, are appearing for the first time ever -- never having been published either online or in print. These are indeed limited-edition collector's items that you won't see everywhere.

Jeff explains, “My goal is to find beautiful images that have never seen the light of day.  When you unearth an image and make just a few prints, there's a special feeling that comes with that.  Knowing that you are one of the only people on earth who has this beautiful shot hanging on your wall.  That is the feeling that drives me.”

So if owning a rare piece of music history seeing great artists at the peak of their powers  appeals to you, then you’ve come to the right place.
